If your wedding is in the next few weeks, I’m sure you’re stressed beyond belief. Planning a wedding is already difficult and now the worry of your friend’s and family’s health and well-being is added to the list.
This article isn’t to talk about all of the “what-if’s” with Covid-19, but a few things that are important to consider:
It’s possible to be infected and be asymptomatic for 2-14 days.
This means you could be infected/be a carrier without knowing it for up to nearly two weeks, while potentially passing it on to people you come into contact with. This is why they are recommending social distancing and to stay home and avoid crowds even if you aren’t feeling sick. You could unknowingly infect others around you, who infect others around them, and so on.
Why slowing the spread of the virus is important…
-attempt to avoid overwhelming our health system and hospitals
-protect vulnerable population
-avoid spreading it to your friends, family, and loved ones!
Cancellations & Postponement
We recommend not cancelling your wedding, but postponing for a later date, instead. Many wedding vendors offer options for postponing to a later date, Grindstone Weddings included!
If postponing or cancelling your wedding is not an option, we recommend streaming your wedding ceremony and reducing your guest list to a maximum of 49 people, to minimize risk to you, your family & friends, as well as your vendors. This allows your friends and family to share in the joy of your day and celebrate with you, but from the comfort and safety of their homes.
Streaming Your Ceremony
We’re offering a discounted ceremony streaming option through April 2020. With wireless audio from the groom & officiant, multiple camera switching and a private link to share with your friends and family. This option is currently available as a stand-alone booking or to add to our “Build your own” package.
